Moon (Lune)
Dullness has passed by,
And here comes the night
That is opportune for us,
The night of the full moon.
The celestial body resembling you
With its hidden face,
But also gathering us together
For the best effect.
If my love was so wise,
Now she gives herself,
The moment when the hour chimes,
In the beautiful alchemy.
The crescent turned
Into this ball of fire,
Illuminates the naked bodies
Of these happy lovers.
And it's you, the celestial body at last,
Towards whom I reach out my hands
To caress your soul
That tends to the flame.
This eternal moment
Is finally granted to us.
This moment is sweet,
A fragment of eternity.
