Ode
You are magnificent, oh so desired
Always inspiring love poems in me.
You suggest in me libertine thoughts
That animate both our nights and days.
To take you at times, with delight and tenderness,
Other times, to possess you with all my strength,
To hear you cry out and ask for more,
To bind you for a while and then set you free.
Or to surrender you to the passing stranger,
Like a girl acquired, giving herself away,
And then to deify you, and kneel before,
To serve you endlessly, adorn you with jewels.
We create a work of art in loving each other this way,
Mixing our bodies, uniting our minds,
We are unbound and live fully,
In complete freedom, these eternal moments.
Elevating this life where we meet,
As through these lines when we write,
We know how to find each other, celebrating beauty,
Lifelong partners in love for all eternity.
